creating nature spaces
Creating an inspiring space for contact with nature is essential in developing Forest School and Outdoor Learning in any setting.
It may be that you are starting from scratch or trying to make a current space more special and develop new elements of learning such as playing with mud, cooking on fires or supporting more learning about wildlife.
A key starting point can be creative planting of fast growing species such as willow to give instant green elements, creating a boundary for your space and bringing a leafy understory which will inject a sense of magic to your space in the same year it is planted.
Currently we have been funded to work in 10 schools across the old Avon area to create mini nature reserves - Avon Schools Nature Reserve - delivered through our new CIC Nature Connection - watch this space!
Get in touch if you want to explore some ideas for your space.
