Intro to Forest School Level 2
This page gives you the information on the background of the level 2 qualification you are doing and what you need to do on submitting and completing your written work for your portfolio.
- All work must have your name and unit title listed at the start of each document you submit. At the start of each answer you must list the question number and title.
- Do use a variety of reference materials and background reading to support your answers - but don't be tempted to use just one source and not info from other people's Forest School work that you might find on-line.
- Do use quotes and images if they help support your answer but make sure they are marked up as a reference in your work (provide the web page or book used).
- Use your authentic voice in what you write - its best to avoid using overly technical language that does not mean anything to you and stick to your style - only your own work can be marked. The best answers use a combination of your experience backed up by reading you have done.
- You have 1 year to complete all your work from the last day of training in the woods.
- Documents should be sent as a .doc file format via email or can be shared on google drive if needed – please ask.
- The process of marking is fairly involved and is initially marked by your tutor who will provide feedback. At this point the tutor may ask for additional information in the form of an update to complete the criteria fully. Once the tutor is happy and all evidence is completed then your work will go forward for final checking and certification.
The qualification is made up of the following 2 sections (units):
